I am sure that you guys have heard of affirmations.

These are positive statements that you say out loud about yourself regularly that you want to believe but aren’t fully there yet.

Affirmations can be technically seen as lies to the critics, but you are working towards them all being true in the near future.

The reason they work is because whatever you focus on grows, so when you focus on the things you want to have in your life, you will subconsciously shift your thoughts and behaviors to attract those things to you.

Aka manifesting!

A power statement is similar to an affirmation, but has some key differences.

While an affirmation is a positive declaration to give you hope and focus your energy, it generally is not true for you yet. An affirmation is like a wish you are helping come true with your actions, while a power statement reminds you who you are at the core.

A power statement, however, is something that is already eternally true about you, true about your soul. A power statement is a pronouncement of your divine identity, an embracing of your purpose, and a reaffirming of your inevitable success.

The difference in the purpose of an affirmation and a power statement lies in the fact that you know deep down that the power statement is already true about you on an eternal timeline, and so it gives you the power to keep showing up when showing up feels hard.

When I began this process on myself, I started with affirmations. I knew there was more, but I only was at level one in knowing who I am and why I am here. Which is why I recommend starting with affirmations to get your gears moving and make a friendly environment in your brain for inspiration to show up.

Start with affirmations as baby steps. Then open yourself to receive inspiration.

How to Create Your Power Statement:

Grab a notebook and pen, find a quiet, prvate spot, and take some deep breaths to get grounded. Then ask for inspired answers to the following questions:

Who are you, really?
In the grand scheme of things, what really matters about you?
What are your special gifts you have been given?
Why were you born now?
How are you here to serve the world?

Here's how mine turned out:

My name is Kelly Kaye Walker and I am a force of nature. I am divine, determined, and diligent, a valiant daughter of God and a queen in the making. I am a warrior of light and I shine brighter every day, lighting the world more powerfully and irresistibly everywhere I go. As my influence spreads across the nation and the world, I find, encourage, and inspire other world changers to stand up, be seen, and live their purpose at a higher level. Together we make a huge ripple effect of love, light, and hope that reaches every corner of this planet.
