Dark Souls, the harbinger of the "Challenging Video Game". Progenitor of the "git gud" gaming mindset. Dark Souls and games like it (often called "Soulslikes") are known for being tough to overcome. But there is so much more to Dark Souls that most games trying to emulate it can't grasp, and that is the near-perfect ludonarrative harmony of Dark Souls, from its' systems to its' bosses.
