Dynamite Harvest, in association with The Athanatos Foundation, will be researching how to grow the most food for the lowest cost in the smallest space. Families of limited means and limited space will benefit from being able to get the most 'bang for their buck' when it comes to healthy eating.

So many families rely on processed foods to stave off hunger because processed foods are all they can afford. Naturally grown and organic produce is much more expensive, so families go 'cheap.' But what if they could grow the bulk of their produce?

Theoretically, gardening isn't complicated, and with some effort it can be done at little cost. However, the process can be intimidating. People who don't know what they are doing might never get started.

That's where this research initiative comes in. A complete system will be devised which answers all questions from the start, and makes it as easy as possible for anyone, regardless of their gardening experience, to go from seed to harvest.

The proposed 10 x 10 research plots will be designed with scalability in mind. If the system works for a family, and they have the space, additional plots can be planted.

The 'home garden' plot could be of use not just to those who have trouble paying for healthy food, but for people who simply don't otherwise have the space. But, if they move to a location with more room, they could potentially bring their garden with them.

In 2023, an initial 10x10 plan will be made available, complete with seeds and instructions. But the idea is to research and refine the system so that from 2024 and into the future, more and more produce is grown in the available space.

Individuals and families can purchase the packages, or generous donors can purchase the packages on their behalf, so that the only obstacle left to their healthy eating is their own willingness to put in the time.
