Paul Pelosi Attacked: What's the progressive spin?

David DePape attacks Paul Pelosi in his home with a hammer. What’s the moral of the story?
- This is why we have to do something about the mental health crisis?
- This is why we have to do something about the drug & addiction problem?
- This is why we should maybe crack down on illegal immigration?
- This is why we should maybe have better security at the personal home of the person who’s 3rd in line to be president?
- Maybe we should tone down ALL the polarized and hateful rhetoric, because we’re seeing similar crimes ALLL over the country

No, it’s “this is why we need censorship, because this guy was mad at Nancy Pelosi because of his consumption of angry right-winged rhetoric.

How did this attack by a mentally ill, drug addicted, illegal immigrant become a story painted sweepingly in cable news, almost in unison, about a “politically-motivated attack?”

You’re allowed to be angry and even outraged at corrupt politicians or even politicians whose policies and behaviors you disapprove of. You’re even allowed to buy into conspiracy theories if you want!

You are NOT allowed to do illegal drugs. You are NOT allowed to break into someone’s home. You are NOT allowed to commit violent crimes.

They’re reframing an insanity problem with a “right-winged disinformation” problem. They’re painting a criminal problem as an ideological problem.

The anger and outrage isn’t the problem here. We all get angry and outraged at people in our lives all the time. Most of us don’t attack them violently, especially high-profile politicians and their families. Anger is a basic, healthy human emotions. The problem is that when you mix certain natural human emotions with long-standing mental illness, drugs and addiction — you sometimes get people willing to commit crimes.

Ideology on BOTH sides has fueled similar attacks of ordinary people all over this country. If you really DIG into local news sites, you’re sure to find plenty of examples. The problem isn’t the ideology itself, it’s that ANY ideology can spark outrage at the other side and become a deadly combination when mixed with severe and untreated mental illness and drug addiction.

The attempt to reduce this attack to merely an ideologically-driven motive is a blatant manipulation of the progressive left to
1. Urge you to vote democrat in your midterm elections by dangling the “see, this is what will happen if you don’t” in front of your face
2. To continue to justify the censorship industry, funded and organized by the West’s security state, big tech companies which have incentive to work at the behest of the government since they are after all subject to their regulations, and left-winged billionaires.

Don’t be fooled.
