Emergency alert sounds in Japan after North Korea launches multiple missiles
2 years ago
17.3K
An emergency alert for people in parts of central and northern Japan to seek shelter was triggered on Thursday following North Korea's latest multiple missile launches, including a possible failed intercontinental ballistic missile.
"At the moment, there are no reports that they (the missiles) fell inside Japan's Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ)," Japanese Chief Cabinet Secretary Hirokazu Matsuno told a news conference.
North Korea's multiple launches on Thursday came a day after the country fired at least 23 missiles, the most in a single day, including one that landed off South Korea's coast for the first time.
