God Blesses Those Who Obey Him

When the people responded by obeying God's message through Haggai, God promised to be with them. He was pleased with their effort even though the new temple was not as glorious as the one Solomon built. What does God require of us? Must we impress the world? Must we achieve as much as others? Or must we do the best we can with what we have?
