Saying Goodbye to Charlie | RIP | My Favorite Shadow

I've been taking a small break from posting Travel videos. There have been a lot of personal issues that became the forefront of 2022.

This one hurt.

The penny-saver pup, my friend, sidekick, and shadow for almost 15 years, Charlie, peacefully crossed the rainbow bridge on October 3rd, 2022.

Unfortunately, health issues required me to make a tough decision as a pet owner. We spent the weekend at the dog park and cuddling on the bed. I let him (finally) eat off my plate, and I gave him many pets, kisses, and treats. We walked the block one more time and were graced with the presence of a family of three deer in front of the house as we got into my brother's car for one last car ride.

He loved everyone, dogs, cats (especially cats) - squirrels loved to torture him, and there was not a mean bone in his body. He was the sweetest, gentlest dog. He tilted his head if you asked him a question. He would watch the world from my front door. Wagging the tail as neighbors walked by. He also perfected the “puppy dog” look to get more treats. We even had an annual celebration of your birthday on Charloween.

He spent his days in Los Angeles as an assistant/company mascot for Nucontex and his evenings' cat stalking poolside. He loved to be petted by anyone and would sit at your feet quietly as you rubbed his head.

He had many nicknames; mush face, Charles in charge, stinky face, charlie brown, puppers, and fluffa, but most knew him best, as “the friend”.
