RESCUE Over Watered Potted Plant! Repot Oregano Plant That's Dying! 😭 Shirley Bovshow (#shorts)

Learn how to rescue an over watered plant by repotting it in the #shorts video. Shirley Bovshow demonstrates how to repot an indoor Oregano plant with a saturated root ball that is causing the Oregano leaves to turn brown, and look dried and crispy!

It's ironic but many overwatered plants look like dried up plants that need to be watered. The leaves of over watered plants may turn yellow and fall off of the plant, or they may turn black or brown and feel crispy and dry!

When a plant's rootball is saturated with water, you need to take immediate action because the plant is not able to take up water or oxygen and the plant will suffocate!

Repotting a plant that has been overwatered is the answer!

1. Select a slightly larger pot
2. Use well draining potting soil or add 1/3 volume of perlite or sand to the potting mix
3. Cut the damaged leaves off but don't remove ALL the leaves. Plants need leaves to process energy.
4. Set the repotted plant in a shady spot out of direct sunshine.
5. DO NOT WATER until the soil has dried!
