North Korea supplying artillery shells to Russia says US
"We have information that, despite the public denials that, despite the public denials that we've heard from the DPRK, that the DPRK is covertly supplying Russia's war in Ukraine with a significant number of artillery shells, while obfuscating the real destination of these armed shipments by trying to make it appear as if they're being sent to countries in the Middle East or North Africa," U.S. State Department spokesman Ned Price told reporters at a regular news briefing.
Earlier in the day, White House National Security spokesperson John Kirby told reporters that Washington would consult with the United Nations on accountability issues over the shipments.
Price suggested that sanctions were among the options, as in the case of Iran's provision of weapons to Russia.
