Tangalooma, Moreton Island

Located a mile north of the Tangalooma Resort, are the Tangalooma Wrecks, a cluster of ships scuttled by the Queensland Government between 1963 and 1984 to provide a safe anchorage spot for recreational boat owners on the eastern side of Moreton Bay.
Coral is now apparent around the wrecks, providing a haven for many species of fish, dolphins, wobbegongs and dugongs.
