The Place to Be! | ANTIQUE & VINTAGE Town | JEWELRY SHOPPING

We’re playing hooky and going antiquing today! While the Fenton conventioneers have live sales, we’re headed across the street to see the vintage shops and malls of this Ohio antique town. Will we find additions to our collections? Hot deals to resell? Let’s go see!

Our first stop is Riverview Antique Mall, a rarity itself in that it’s been open 60 years! Lots of our favorite finds here hadn’t even been made when the store opened, from Mattel’s weird 1968 Incredible Edibles to the compendium of Fenton collectors books that are now the Bibles for serious collectors! We discover an unusual doll train car playset, marvel over a sparkling Blenko blue crackle fish and gawk at the concrete Victorian lady with the amazing hat.

Then it’s on to Green Acres, and it is the place to be for vintage costume jewelry, brilliant sky blue glass and a fun time with the shop’s vibrant and fun owner! Another dealer in this collective shows us some very early Presidential signed documents, and we gather and goof on everything from Dorothy’s ruby 1930s shoe clips to a handsome ebonized 1890s etagere. This town is a terrific antique collector’s destination!
Here’s more of what we uncover on our trip through time:

1950s shoeshine stand, geodes and minerals, Victorian wicker bench, child’s porch swing, crow match safe, Chinese drum on stand, comic homemade moonshine jug, weathervanes, French bombe chest, ribbon art women, CCC camp picture, torsion balance scale, shoe clips, hair memorial plaque, cash register on chest of drawers, Chinese folding travel mirror, Century of Progress Boy Scouts plaque, English cheese dome, 1930s etched Czech perfume, Iitala bird, celluloid portrait dresser box w/contents, mesh and steel bead purses, celluloid wedding cake topper figures, Imperial Glass owl, Victorian bar pin, 1960s Sears child's kitchen, Fostoria stemware, Belleek Shamrock teapot, Art Nouveau dresser box, Swarovski animals, 1950s ties, compacts, etc.
