CARD SKIMMING SCAM ALERT!

If you’re using EBT cards you might be more vulnerable to card skimming scams.

If you’re a victim of credit card skimming while using a debit or credit card. Getting your money back is relatively easy.

But victims using EBT cards are discovering that getting reimbursed for stolen funds isn’t easy. And in many cases it’s just not happening.

EBT cards don’t have the protections of bank cards. Federal law actually bars states from using federal funds to replace what was stolen.

These scams are made easier because EBT cards don’t use chip technology which would make cloning these cards harder.

If you’re still swiping your payment card. Be careful. Inspect the machine before you swipe.
