I suspect this has been done to cover the increase in wages for unpopular presenters

I suspect this is because the wages had to be put up when that female presenter won her case against the BBC claiming she should be paid a lot more like more popular presenters are. What a win for the left wing I guess. So now it looks like the BBC has to have cut backs to pay for the increase in wages. Well done left wing people.
