Parkland HS shooter to be formally sentenced on Wednesday

A two-day sentencing hearing for Florida’s Parkland School Shooter began on Tuesday, with highly emotional statements from grieving families who lost loved ones and anguished survivors. Nikolas Cruz pleaded guilty to 17 counts of murder and 17 counts of attempted murder. Last month, after a months-long trial, the jury recommended Cruz be sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole. The judge will give Cruz his formal sentencing Wednesday, November 2nd.
