BREAKING: Supreme Court Issues Ruling In Donald Trump's Appeal To Keep Tax Returns From Dem-Led House Committee

Former President Donald Trump scored a major victory in his ongoing fight with Congress over his tax returns.

On Tuesday, Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts granted a temporary block on the Democrat led House getting the former president’s tax returns, Fox News reported.

Trump and his legal team on Monday filed asking the Supreme Court to block the release of his tax records.

The House Ways and Means Committee first requested six years of Trump’s tax returns in 2019.

“Upon consideration of the application of counsel for the applicants, it is so ordered that the mandate of the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit, case No. 21-5289, is hereby stayed pending further order of the undersigned or of the court,” the decision said, giving a deadline of Thursday, Nov. 10, by noon.

Last week an appeals court decided to deny the former president’s appeal to keep the records from Congress. But that left the possibility that the case was going to be appealed to the Supreme, Fox News reported.
