The fifth operational human spaceflight mission (Crew-5) of the Dragon spacecraft aboard a Falcon 9 rocket from Launch Complex 39A (LC-39A) at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida is scheduled to launch no earlier than Wednesday, October 5. A backup opportunity is available on Thursday, October 6 at 11:38 a.m. ET, 15:38 UTC. The instantaneous launch window opens at 12:00 p.m. ET, 16:00 UTC.
Crew-3 was previously transported to and from the space station by the Dragon spacecraft that is supporting this trip. After stage separation, the first stage of the Falcon 9 will touch down on the Just Read the Instructions droneship, which is positioned in the Atlantic Ocean.
