University Diversity: Supreme Court Case

The New York Times is covering the Supreme Court hearings regarding university diversity policies and discrimination. Of course, there is a terror wave running through liberal hearts across the nation. The "conservative court" is out to destroy DiVeRsItY!! My question is, why are we so concerned with diverse skin color as opposed to diverse talent, academic achievement, and intelligence? Is discrimination always against an individual or can it be FOR the individual? Let's talk about it.
