In this lecture we will review the ways that people make sense of this world…The Core Elements of Social Cognition.

Cognition is a term referring to the mental processes involved in gaining knowledge and comprehension. Some of the many different cognitive processes include thinking, knowing, remembering, judging, and problem-solving.

Social Cognition is the way an individual understands their social world. Social Cognition Perspective is a view that focuses on how people perceive, remember, and interpret events and individuals, including themselves in their social world.
