Sea snail is a kind of gastropod mollusk, specifically referring to the snails living in the sea or on the coast. Sea snails, freshwater snails and land snails together constitute most gastropods.

Conch like to live in the coast, sand beach, coastal reef or shallow sea bottom. It is distributed all over the world. In China, it mostly exists in Shandong, Liaoning and Hebei provinces. The spawning period is almost between May and August.

The edge of the conch shell is slightly square, large and hard, about 10cm thick. The shell is of Grade 6. The inside of the shell mouth is apricot red, with pearl luster. The snail meat is plump, delicate and delicious, known as the "pearl in the dish". It is rich in protein, vitamins and essential amino acids and trace elements for human body. It is a typical natural animal health food with high protein, high calcium and low fat.
