ASEAN will not choose between US and China as both are crucial partners

ASEAN is looking to work with other countries on areas like digitalisation, sustainability and energy transformation. Singapore Foreign Affairs Minister Vivian Balakrishnan was speaking at the ASEAN Roundtable, an academic forum organised by the ISEAS-Yusof Ishak Institute. He expects the ASEAN summit next week to discuss issues such as building ties beyond the bloc, including with India.
