South Koreans mourn victims at crush memorial

Mourners wept on Tuesday (November 1) as they laid tributes to those who lost their lives in the Halloween crush which left more than 150 people dead in Seoul's Itaewon district, with some critical of the police response. The victims were mostly people in their 20s who had flocked to the party district in huge numbers after coronavirus restrictions halted the traditional celebrations for the previous two years.
