Sunday, October 30, 2022 at the Terrace Hills Golf Course Kim Reynolds and her Republican team’s bus tour stopped in Altoona to speak to voters in the area with only 9 days until the November midterm elections. Kim endorsed the running Republican candidates and each candidate provided a speech.
Reynolds states “We are gonna criss-cross the state right through election day. We are seeing crowds just like this! Iowans that are energized, the momentum is phenomenal. ” Reynolds continues to thank everyone for giving her the opportunity to serve as the governor of this state. Reynolds continues “Crazy time which we live in right? Crazy, chaos, crisis, overreach, dysfunction, the list goes on and on. How many of you wake up in the morning and think what insane thing can this administration do that flies in the face of common sense? Right!? Nuts! It’s unbelievable. Under this administration we have seen reckless spending, families who are struggling to put food on the table and gas in the car. Not in Iowa, but when you look in communities and states across this country crime is increasing. We have an open border that’s intentional. There’s no other way to talk about it. Putting people on the sideline – paying them to stay home and they’re taking parents out of their decisions about their child’s education. Whatever it takes, whatever it costs, they are fundamentally trying to change who we are as a country, but guess what…Not in Iowa, cause we’ve got a team of common sense conservative leaders that is taking the bit to the Biden administration and Democrats every single day. Yay! Starts with our great United States senator... And you know what I really love? What really is going on here in Iowa…I’m so proud to say with this team. America still works! Right!? And it’s because we trusted you to do the right thing and you did. We rejected lockdowns; we kept our businesses open, and we kept our kids in the classroom! We’re keeping our spending in check and we’re not…You know where we see a 40 year high in inflation coming from the Biden administration what do we do in Iowa? We’re cutting taxes and helping you keep more of your hard earned money. We’re not gonna tax your retirement income come January 1. How about that!? We kept our communities safe when liberals across this country were screaming “Defund the Police.” What did we do? We said “we’re gonna back the blue!” Thank you to the men and women who serve in law enforcement and keep us and our communities safe. We protected girl’s sports for girls….Common sense. And we put parents back in charge of their child’s education. They decide if their child’s in school; they decide if their child wears a mask, and parents will decide if their children get a vaccine. NOT THE CDC! Our fiscal health is strong. Big contrast to Washington D.C. Number one state for opportunity, number one state for affordable housing, number one state for fiscal responsibility…Yay!
