Women And Youth Centre Fundraiser | Monday, October 31, 2022 | Micah Quinn | Bridge City News

The sweet sounds of piano playing and tasty desserts are on the docket for a special fundraiser in Lethbridge on November 19 at St. Augustine’s Church Hall. Organizers of the event are hoping to raise funds for the development of a Women and Youth Centre in the village of Ogan, Nigeria. This project is being completed through the Christian organization, Bridges of Hope.

Organizers say their goal is to create a centre that offers after school programming, recreation and community resources for women and youth who are in need. The goal is to raise close to $130,000 to construct the centre. If you donate you have a chance to become a part of the history of the building as well.

Back in 2020 a school that was in disrepair was reconstructed in Ogan Nigeria and officials say it now houses over 400 students.
