Hiding Behind Romans 13

Are we supposed to just do as we are told, no matter who is in charge? Why, in the midst of an onslaught against the church, did so many pastors proclaim that we are to do nothing, not respond, comply?
I made this video in 2021 when it seemed like there had been enough capitulation. "The Elders have left the gate" as Jeremiah says in Lamentations. What kind of leadership is this?
