Make America Christian Again! | Hebrews 11:13-16

Many Christians and conservatives in our nation are currently “thinking of that land from which they had gone out.” In other words, Christians must resist the temptation of nostalgia. We are not merely attempting to get back to our “homeland” - the America of our childhood where we grew up. In fact, we are not even attempting to get back to the founding of our nation, even though much of it was predominantly Christian. “But as it is, [we] desire a better country, that is, a heavenly one.” For the Postmillennial Christian, we believe that the best really is yet to come. I truly believe that America's most Christ-exalting days are ahead of us, not somewhere back in the 1700s. So as we work to fulfill Christ's commission to “disciple the nations” (with our rightly ordered affections being, first and foremost, focused on this nation), and as we diligently pray that God's “kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven,” we want to be diligent to preserve all that was truly good from our past. The aim of the “Christian Nationalist” is to make America Christian... again. But also to make America more Christian than ever before.
