The salvation of our children is not a crapshoot. Unconditional election does not mean arbitrary election. The same God who predestines the ends of salvation also predestines the means, and the two are never severed. And what was typical of Jewish households in the first century should not be viewed as the norm today, especially after 2,000 years of the “mustard seed.”
