OCPS band director should be fired for bullying his own disabled band student.

Hear the legal complaint filed from the attorney's representing the student and mother as well as the statements of the disabled student and her mother who at the time was also a staff member at another OCPS campus within the district. These events transpired during the time the districts mask mandate was in place during the 2021-2022 school year. Our desire is the purse justice for students just like Hannah and staff and families that are dealing intimately as we have with this districts mismanagement of their own set in place polices in addition to violating civil rights and the Americans with Students with Disabilities Act of 1990. While we may not have the financial means to pursue much more than we have, we will and are in process of putting the information to file complaints with the Florida Department of Education as well as informing Governor DeSantis's office directly. We will provide updates as they transpire in the long term, however it is important to KNOW your candidates in this upcoming election that are trying to keep their seats with this school board, the same school board who has allowed this to happen with no actions or accountability with their Band directors actions. In fact, their actions show the opposite that they condone the behavior and what had happened. Let them know at the polls in the upcoming election, that we the parents WILL NOT stand for this behavior against ANY student!!!

OCPS=the district that allowed staff/teachers knowingly and purposely leave students /parent volunteers an hour and half away from home with NO DISCIPLINE ACTIONS TAKEN but rail road the parent who is also staff who stood UP for a student (their child)with disabilities have discipline imposed upon!!!OCPS = the district that promotes observing administrators who misplaced crucial witnesses statements to go work in their Office of Accountability!!OCPS = the district that allows a coordinator at the office of employee relations to leave descriptive comments in employee file violating said employees civil rights employee. OCPS=the district that does the opposite of what they should, even their own policies they set forth.
