Throttle body cleaning (2001-2008 Ford Escape - 3.0L 6-cylinder engine)

Cleaning the throttle body on a 2004 Ford Escape with a 3.0L 6-cylinder engine. Excessive carbon buildup may cause acceleration, idling and stalling issues. This procedure is for mechanical throttle bodies only on 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008 models. Also applies to Mazda Tributes and Mercury Mariners.
