Nationwide Police Shortage

Over the last two year record number of officers have been leaving the force in major cities. Depending on how you feel about the police and where you live will have to have some factor on how you feel. Crime, manly violent crimes are happening a lot more. Where I live and travel crime is not to bad, so I am in different on how I feel. How are things where you are? Is crime up in your area?
