On Friday night, KANYE WEST spoke with the media and apologized for alleging incorrectly that George Floyd died from fentanyl rather than from suffocation brought on by a police officer placing a knee to his neck. He said that he was unaware that he was being antisemitic.

When asked by the media about his antisemitic remarks, Kanye West claimed he didn't know what he was saying was deemed antisemitic. He also claimed that after meeting with Adidas, who have cut off all relations with the rapper, for mediation, he had some epiphanies and felt "humbled." He added that "When I view that film as a Black person, it hurts my sentiments" in the jumbled discussion he was having, in which he appeared to be making claims and then retracting them at the same time. According to HipHopDX, he told photographers, "And I know that police do attack and America is generally racist. And I recognize that when we finally said Black Lives Matter, the concept of it brought us closer as a people, isn't that right?

So when I questioned George Floyd's death, it harmed my people, he continued. "I need to say sorry. I now understand what it feels like to have a knee on my neck because God has demonstrated it to me via what Adidas and the media are doing.
