Canada currently has no criminal restrictions on abortion — which means it is legal to abort a child in the third trimester right up to birth.

This is because the Supreme Court struck down the law on abortion in 1988 with the Morgentaler decision. In the absence of a law, anything goes.

Many Canadians don’t know this and are surprised when they find out.

With the controversy around the Unplanned Movie in 2019, the raising of this issue in the 2019 and 2021 elections, Roe vs Wade this year and plans to revoke charity status for pregnancy care centres—this issue has no signs of going away any time soon. This is because so many care so deeply about this issue.

On this show, Laura Klassen from Choice42 joins us to give an update on what is happening in Canada on this issue, share her views and share about a new media project she is set to release on Oct. 31st.

Laura came into prominence in 2018 when one of her first videos, “The Magic Birth Canal,” went viral on social media.
