The golden aluminum that wraps the 2022 Edition of Drew Estate’s Year of the Rat is what catches your eye first. However, what is underneath is no less beautiful. Today we’re going to review the Drew Estate Year of the Rat 2022.

After taking the time required to get unwrap the cigar, I was greeted with something beautiful. Underneath the gold was an absolutely beautiful Year of the Rat 2022. The wrapper leaf was medium brown marbled with oily darker colors, and this cigar appeared to be perfectly rolled.

With a quick snip from the guillotine, the draw resistance was about perfect as well, and the cold draw flavors were a bit musty.

Once lit, however, the Drew Estate Year of the Rat 2022 was oily, thick, and rich. Also, there was something wet and oily on my tongue. It was very smooth on the retrohale with a little bit of spice.

Is the Drew Estate Year of the Rat 2022 worth waiting four years for? Is it worth almost $18… if you can find it? Let’s keep going.

Final Thoughts

The Drew Estate Liga Privada Unico Serie Year of the Rat 2022 is a fancy cigar. It’s got a gold wrapper and a price tag to match its long AF name. But, is it worth it?

In my opinion, yes. Absolutely.

The Year of the Rat has a nice, slow burn. It’s oily and rich tasting. The draw and burn were both perfect, and it smoked for almost an hour and a half.

The Drew Estate Year of the Rat 2022 delivers in every way and earns a CigarScore 5.
