This line of comics (The Book of Perseverance, Courtesy, Integrity, Self Control, and Indomitable Spirit) are about the origins of Dojo the Monkey, where he comes from, and why the legendary monkey king has chosen him to be the next in line to get the cosmic belt. A white belt that mysteriously changes colors based on strength of the users courtesy, integrity, self control, perseverance and indomitable spirit.

Dojo is by no means the chosen one, in fact someone else may argue it's not his birthright to get the belt. However, fate has decided that Dojo, someone who lacks talent, must learn and struggle in order to become the hero the world needs him to be.

Dojo will learn from a variety of teachers and master's not only skills to defend himself and others, but throughout his journey will also learn to grow in virtue and gain the 5 tenants to unlock the true potential of the cosmic belt.

Book 1 Perseverance will focus on the Taekwondo tenant of Perseverance, and how Dojo must learn to overcome his fears and gain the virtue of Fortitude in order to unlock the first potential of the cosmic belt.

What is Fortitude?

Fortitude is the moral virtue that ensures firmness in difficulties and constancy in the pursuit of the good. It strengthens the resolve to resist temptations and to overcome obstacles in the moral life. The virtue of fortitude enables one to conquer fear, even fear of death, and to face trials and persecutions.

This is a great lesson for kids to learn in a world today where fear is rampant in a secular society. It is our hope that this series covering the tenant of perseverance will inspire kids to stand up for what’s right and learn the value of not giving up when things are difficult.

Who's Writing and Drawing?

We have partnered with Kenaris Animation Studios to do the illustration and coloring for the comic book. The story will be written by Natalie Kelley and co-written by Taylor Kelley.

DOJO GO COMICS CODE OF ETHICS:
1. NO POLITICAL AGENDAS

So many shows and books today for kids have put political agendas and "wokeness" over building an entertaining well thought-out story that builds morality for kids.

Nowadays, it's very common for shows and comics to focus purely on presenting and indoctrinating kids a particular view point rather than an entertaining good moral story.

Our code of ethics promises to you that any of our projects we won't have ANY political agendas in it.

Instead our projects will focus on a story that will entertain kids and inspire them to become the best version of themselves.

2. THE ENDS WON'T JUSTIFY THE MEANS

Unlike what society may be showing to kids, our comics and stories won't adhere to Consequentialism. This is the belief that the morality of an action is based soley on its consequences. This is no different than someone robbing a rich person and giving it to the poor. The action is still wrong.

3. JUDEO-CHRISTIAN MORALITY

Lastly, all of our stories will take place in a world that God exists. Not pagan, or mythological gods, but the God of Abraham. Many stories today either exclude God completely or try to replace Him with mythological gods and eastern religions (or even worse, the demonic).

Characters will acknowledge the existence of Him and the comic universe will be presented in a world where Judeo Christian morality is the foundation for society.

Along the way, there will be some characters who have a hard time coming to terms with the supernatural. Our stories will present a realistic view of what its like to be a person of faith in a secular world.
