Why spend $4-$6 for bread? I pick up day old bread at the dollar store. I am able to get my favorite kind too. Sometimes they even have organic bread. Back in the day, there was a dedicated bread store for day old goods. You may have one in your area. Check around...it's cheaper to call rather than drive these days.

As much preservatives as they put in bread these days...it will still taste fresh. In order to keep it fresh, store it in the freezer. Take out only what you need for the day. If it is less than the best quality, use it for toast, a delicious French toast breakfast or make bread crumbs. Enjoy!
