Numerous people have theorized that the "great reset" is a part of a plot by world leaders in business and politics to starve the planet of people so that they can more easily impose a one-world government, or even that COVID was designed with that purpose. These bold assertions, the ominous book title, and Schwab's peculiar personal style have all contributed to this speculation.

I'm not a believer. Conspiracies with a wide scope and a common goal need to be coordinated at a high level in order to succeed; but, in the networked age, such conspiracies are likely to be uncovered and dismantled very rapidly. Searching for a secret shouldn't be an exercise in futility.
