This is just a writer's note on what I was thinking. I don't know if it might spoil the story for some people or add to it for others, so I'll leave it up to you to decide. I wanted to leave the story open to interpretation in the end and wanted to hear the great interpretations people had about the story. I've really enjoyed it over the years. I am disabled, suffering from physical and mental health challenges (though I am not in a wheelchair), and I combat agoraphobia (At this time, it is in what I would call remission; but you are never free of it.). I wrote the story initially to explore the idea of struggling with agoraphobia and how you try desperately to keep a safe zone from the entire world, where you are free from your fear, but no matter what you do, when you reach out, the world comes in. It doesn't matter whether it is a positive or a negative reach into your world, it feels like an invasion; and you must try to learn again to live with the reality that the world exists and will come in, no matter what you do. I'm not sure how many of you can understand the idea, unless you've gone through it yourself, though I suspect the quarantine has made many of you much more understanding of the concept.
