Does Roof Warranty Language matter?Does it serve a purpose?

Let’s look at some warranty fine print:

Natural disasters and Acts of God, including, but not limited to, flood, lightening, hurricane, earthquake, hail, tornado, windstorm in excess of Beaufort Number 8 of the Beaufort Scale, objects driven by wind, dust, rain or earthquakes;

Reasonable, or is it?.

Well, a Beaufort #8 is wind speeds of 39 to 46 mph.
Has your roof ever been subject to such a wind speed?
Probably.

What’s the solution:
1) Pick a roof that withstands higher wind speeds.
2) Get a warranty that states that (say 72 mph)
