Having bad credit says a lot about your morals and your character. You may not want to admit it, but that doesn't mean it isn't true.

Credit is not complicated. It's just your ability to keep your word. Your credit score is based on your history of keeping your word with banks and lenders.

Chances are, if you can't pay back loans from banks and lenders, you can't be trusted in relationships, loans from friends or start-up capital.

If you value your word, you have good credit. Period. End of story.

I've been divorced, fired, incarcerated, and more. Yet I've always had good credit. Nowadays I have great credit, but even in tough times, I had good credit, because I look at loans as me giving my word to someone that I will pay them back.
