This contains a PDF patterns (A4 size) and a detailed tutorial for making a big leather briefcase for a 17 inch laptop. It can be used also as a travel bag or weekender.

DIFFICULTY: ADVANCED AMATEURS

DIMENSIONS
✦ BODY: 45/34/14 cm or 17.7/13.4/5.5 inch
✦ SLIP POCKET: 34/27 cm or 13.4/10.6 inch

MATERIALS
✦ BODY: 2.4 mm (6 oz) vegtan leather (or a leather lined with pig skin to achieve the same thickness and consistency) ( 1.2 sqm)
✦ SLIP POCKET: 1-1.2 mm leather (2-3 oz)
✦ STRAPS AND ACCENTS: 4 mm (10 oz) vegtan leather for contrast (or lined leather) (0.3 sqm)
✦ 1 mm waxed thread
✦ edge painting

ACCESSORIES
✦ 2 X 25 mm D-rings
✦ 5 x 25 mm buckles
✦ 4 snap buttons (2 for the slip pocket and 2 for the handle)
✦ 1 YKK zipper (53 cm or 20.9 inch modified from a 60 cm or 23.6 inch)

TOOLS & EQUIPMENT
✦ 18 mm Olfa cutter
✦ 1.5 mm hole puncher
✦ stitching needles (John James are the best)
✦ rubber mallet
✦ cutting pad
✦ masking tape
✦ a good glue, preferably cement glue
