Is Iran making nuclear weapons or nuclear power?

For the longest time, we were made to believe that Iran was developing nuclear material by which they could make a nuclear weapon. However, given the lies that have been coming out of the West's propaganda machine against Russia for the last 10 years, I question whether or not Iran is the enemy we are painting them out to be.
