The new Finnish NPP Olkiluoto 3 is facing more delays.

Cracks were found in the impellers of all four freshwater feed pumps for the turbines. Cause unknown. The plant is now in all 13 years late. The project was/is a turnkey one, with the French as the main contractors.

The plant would have been the world's third European Pressurized Reactor to start regular working.
Two similar ones have been working apparently totally satisfactorily in Taishan in China from 2018 and 2019.

The 1,600 MW net power plant was supposed to cover for the voluntary loss of 1,470 MW from Russia that Sanna Marin has effected during the critical winter season.
