Hi friends, I'm Nicole. I am a stay at home mom, and today I'm sharing some homemaking things, like making challah bread and decorating our fall table.

Challah Bread Recipe:

-2 tsps yeast
-7/8 c water
-1/2 TBSP + 1/4 c sugar
-1/4 olive oil
-3 large eggs
-1/2 TBSP salt
-4 c all purpose flour
-poppy seeds

Dissolve yeast and sugar (1/2 TBSP) in 7/8 c warm water.
Whisk in oil, then 2 eggs, then remaining salt and sugar. Gradually add flour.
Knead on floured surface until smooth. Clean out bowl and grease it, then return dough to bowl. Cover with plastic wrap.
Let rise in warm place for one hour. Punch down dough and let rise for 30 more minutes.
Form into six strands and pinch tops. Braid over 2, under 1, over 2 starting at the right.
Place on greased cookie sheet, and brush part of remaining egg on loaf.
Let rise for up to another hour, and then brush remaining egg and poppy seeds onto loaf.
Bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes. Enjoy!
