American paratroopers 50 km from Ukraine

The 101st Airborne (Air Assault) Division for the first time since World War II found itself in Europe

As it became known from the report of CBS News, the U.S. paratroopers arrived at the Babadag range (coordinates 44.809055, 28.799775), where joint exercises with the land forces of Romania are held.

Contrary to the journalist's statements about the five miles to the Ukrainian border, it is about 50 km to the border from the polygon, where the exercise participants are accommodated in tents.

Units of the 101st Airborne Division of the US (502 Parachute Infantry Regiment) and the 2nd Infantry Division of the Romanian Armed Forces "Getica" are training within the framework of the annual exercise "Meresti 22.2.

Earlier, CBS, citing sources in the command of the 101st Airborne Troops, reported on the readiness of the Americans to enter the territory of Ukraine.
