Language has laws, and God chose language as the means of revealing Himself to humanity. In fact, He Himself invented the laws. If language becomes lawless, then we have no revelation at all.

A metaphor consists of three parts: two nouns on either side of the verb "to be." In the metaphoric construction, the nouns are always literal. This is an ironclad law of language.
