" Korea. Dominican. Three tours in 'Nam. Hell, this old ass in the grass bulldog's carrying around so much shrapnel he can't pass through an airport metal detector."

Heartbreak Ridge is a 1986 film produced, directed, and starring Clint Eastwood. The story centers on a U.S. Marine nearing retirement who gets a platoon of undisciplined Marines into shape and leads them during the American invasion of Grenada in 1983.

The title comes from the Battle of Heartbreak Ridge in the Korean War, where Eastwood's character had earned the Medal of Honor.

Why this film tonight? Why not? It came up in conversation last week, and we all thought it was a great idea, and Big Al said he wanted in so ... here we are folks! Oo-rah and Semper Fi!
