Why was Ghostbusters 2016 Controversial? | A Complicated Good Bad Movie
GhostBusters 2016 was it really as bad as we remember it being? Was Ghostbusters 2016 really such a Woke Dumpster-fire? Do movie reviewers really review movies without biased? The answer to all that, NO...but it's complicated.
I remember watching it back when it came out & boy was this a stupid woke POS & it made me angry.
But over the years, it haunted me. For some reason I wanted to watch it again. But it wasn't until I got an email telling me #ghostbusters2016 was going to be removed from #netflix so I said meh, I wanted to review a movie & so I took it to a poll #ghostbusters or Resident Evil Welcome to Raccoon City. Ghostbusters won.
I re-watched the movie the way I watch ALL movies I am going to review, Disconnected from all outside influence & without biased.
Holy Smokes, I actually LIKED the movie. I was very wrong about the movie. It was not a Bad WOKE movie, it was just a Bad Movie that ended up being fun.
The movie wasn't Woke, but the actors & studio were Woke & they ruined the image of the movie by attacking the fanbase.
The movie was visually stunning, lots of cheesy ghosts, cringe AF dialogue, tons of Stupid Jokes & NON STOP TALKING.
#chrishemsworth and #kristenwiig stole the movie as expected. #melissamccarthy has some good lines but in the end same character as usual. #katemckinnon frigging hilarious & quirky, she just had a ball. #lesliejones was fine, she had her moments but still seemed like a filler character, there to carry the other actors. It's rare to have so many characters in a movie & STILL have enough backstory for each of them to understand & connect with them.
After watching my video, re-watch the movie disconnected from your feelings & just watch it in the moment, it really isn't a Terrible Woke movie.
