Once upon a time, Leon S. Kennedy (hero of RE4 and its upcoming remake ) was intended to become infected by the Progenitor Virus (seen in Resident Evil Zero ) and have his arm horribly mutated by the end of the game. This version of Resident Evil 4 was scrapped but you can still find traces of it in the final released version of the game. Especially when it comes to Krauser
Do you think we will see more nods and references to this idea in Resident Evil 4 remake? I didn't see anything in the new trailer ...
