The Gospel of the Kingdom: Teshuvah, Rosh Hashanah, the Feast of Trumpets

In my previous teaching on Abraham’s Altars, I said the first four altars were used to properly position Abraham’s heart for the fifth altar which was the altar he was to offer Isaac. By this time not only is Abraham fully submitted to the will of God but so was Isaac. This story is told every year on Rosh Hashanah/Trumpets and is known in the book of Jasher as the “Binding of Isaac.” The feasts also properly position us for an encounter with the King!
