Apollo 11 (July 16–24, 1969) was the American spaceflight that first landed humans on the Moon.

Armstrong carried out an unplanned yaw manoeuvre to deal with sunlight coming in his overhead window. This causes the guidance platform to go into gimbal lock and Armstrong has to use the backup guidance system to control the spacecraft's attitude. 00:44 Earth comes into view.
