(RE) Learn the Declaration of Independence

How well do you REALLY know the Declaration of Independence? What were the key ideas of the founding era, how did certain presidents think and how did they carry out policy?
Featured speaker, Melissa Brockman, a high school social studies teacher nearing completion of her Master of Arts in American History and Government from Ashland University in Ohio and 2022 Wisconsin Fellow of the James Madison Memorial Foundation, will provide historical context to the creation of the Declaration and the revolutionary movement in general. She will guide discussion as we dig into the meaning of the words of the text, including why Jefferson chose certain phrases as well as his "lost" slavery clause.
